“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Paul begins all his letters in a very similar way. In most cases with these exact words (Grace to you and peace from God). Evidently this is important. God’s grace is what you need when you need it. God’s peace is perfect rest and trust in Him even in times of great distress and loss. It is like David said: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”
